Kirana bags are gusseted polythene bags commonly used for packaging in kirana stores, supermarkets, vegetable shops and industrial applications. Bharat Plastic Manufacturing Co. manufactures kirana bags and gusseted polythene bags at our Pimpri MIDC, Pune factory — supplying wholesale quantities to retailers, distributors, traders and industrial buyers across Maharashtra and India.
Gusseted polythene bags feature side gussets that allow the bag to expand when filled, making them ideal for packaging groceries, vegetables, garments, industrial goods and general merchandise. We manufacture kirana bags in 7 standard sizes — 1/4 kg, 1/2 kg, 1 kg, 2 kg, 3 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg — as well as custom dimensions, in natural/clear, coloured and printed options.
All our kirana bags are manufactured from LDPE and comply with applicable plastic packaging regulations, including minimum 50 micron thickness as per government norms. We are EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) registered, ensuring full regulatory compliance. Custom printing — not limited to logos, but any design or text — is available on minimum order quantities. These bags are also widely used in industrial packaging applications.
Regulatory Compliance
All products carry mandatory statutory printing as per Government of India
norms — including EPR number, manufacturer name & address, product
category, thickness and all other required information.
Minimum thickness is 50 microns as per the Plastic
Waste Management (Amendment) Rules. Our EPR registration ensures full
compliance with extended producer responsibility requirements.
